Startups Connected 2018 - Germany

The German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce has the goal to promote business between German and Brazilian companies.

We are living in a digital world. The human population is growing and we might be reaching the limits of our planet, pushing us to rethink our habits and make things differently. Big corporations also need to reinvent themselves in order to keep innovating at the speed their customers are evolving.

Considering this scenario, the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce has gathered corporations and institutions to share their challenges, with the goal to find startups that might have innovative solutions in the fields of:

Sustainable Agriculture (Bayer): Digital monitoring, control beyond chemicals and drones solutions for farmers of large crops and little technology.

Growing Population (BASF): New technologies to produce food (in-natura, industrialized/processed, supplements), animal protein (sustainable farming), pharmaceutical/nutraceutical products.

Industrial Excellence (Schuler): Digitalization of the supply chain, quality control through image and remote training.

Smart Hydroelectric Generation (Voith): Technologies to improve assets management throughout their life cycle, supporting decision-making and routines for maintenance and upgrades.

Residential energy management (Siemens): Residential microgeneration, management of energy consumption, solutions to store energy, smart management of the entire system.

Connected Mobility (Volkswagen): Solutions related to vehicle efficiency and user experience.

Urban Mobility (DIHK): smart vehicles and transportation systems, intermodality solutions and urban planning, air quality and infrastructure.

Paper and Cellulose (Voith): New ideas that promote the process optimization of the transformation of cellulose into paper, as well as other products, developing solutions that add new qualities to the paper and its final use.
