Filling in the space that America has been missing for so long, Zooey is the offbeat magazine for people who love a good read and love great art. 18-year-old Lucia Tran from Sunnyvale created this magazine in hopes of empowering young women, and she already has been doing so for the past few years.

    Lucia Tran is an 18-year-old UCLA student who was raised in Sunnyvale and had recently graduated from Fremont High School. She created an online magazine in 2008 on the basis of empowering women and in 2010, she sought after the print industry. Since then, Zooey Magazine has bloomed and made its mark in the magazine industry. She has been named one of the Top 13 Under 30 by Folio Magazine, featured in the Daily Bruin, KBay, and Vien Dong Daily.
