    A successful scientist/entrepreneur. Zim is my second startup co-founded. Prior work at Trius Therapeutics focused on antibacterial drug discovery resulting in FDA approved drug, Sivextro. 35+ years experience in microbiology, molecular biology and pharmacology. Career in R&D led to 21 publications, posters and 11 patents. As co-investigator on several SBIR grants, executed study protocols, working w/ scientists internally and externally.

  • I’m a physician, entrepreneur, inventor, mentor, investor and lifelong student. I have decades of experience with many supplement/food/biologic firms continually expanding my skill set. It's been 22 years of entrepreneurship, with successful exits, multiple year C suite experiences and receiving grants. My sweet spot is looking from the 30K foot view with ideation then diving into the granularity needed to execute and scale.

  • Jane Meyer
    Co-founder

    Jane has masters in Organic Chemistry, Management and Marketing and a CM&AA-Certified Mergers and Acquisition Advisor certification. She has > 21 years of experience in pharmaceutical development, scientific research, and business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, working at Sigma-Aldrich, Pfizer, Dow Chemical and Hovione. She’s been involved in formation of strategic partnerships and new technology platforms.

    Laura has 30+ years of experience as a business attorney, working with startup companies and assisting with BD. She graduated from Stanford University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and U.C. Berkeley with a Juris Doctor. She has represented start-ups to large companies in distribution, licensing, contracts and employment. Laura brings expertise in startup, retail, TV sales, and product launch.

  • Advisor

    Mark is an independent consultant for Zim. As the executive director at Trius Therapeutics, Mark led efforts to secure and administer government-sponsored research in antibacterial drug development. These efforts included contracts with the NIAID, DTRA, and the Department of Energy. Prior to this, Dr. Stidham worked with Ms. Vickie Driver and five others in founding Rx3 Pharmaceuticals, which became Trius Therapeutics in 2007.
