I can provide loans to fellow diamond companies, and take ownership of their diamonds as collateral. I would actually own them for seventy cents on the dollar. I can charge them 1.5% - 2% per month on the loan. No one in Antwerp would sell their diamonds for 70% on the dollar, unless they absolutely trust the company they are selling to.
