Winnetou Productions LLC is a film production company. We are seeking capital to realize the first feature length film of the 15 book franchise written by German Author, Karl May (1890), published by Nemsi Books, SD, USA, "Winnetou The Beginning". Ernormously popular throughout the world, we hope to introduce US to these most loved action/adventure stories as well as fufilling the fans desire to see their beloved characters come to life.

    Executive Producer

    Angelia’s experience in the publishing industry, thirteen years
    of management experience in retail and hospitality industry
    along with her skills as VP of several companies made her an ideal candidate for executive producer for the Winnetou Movie project.
    Her tenacity and her ability to find and bring people together have been and continue to be an
    invaluable asset to this project.

  • Michael M Michalak
    Co-Producer/Screenwriter

    Michael was born in Germany in 1953 and became interested in the works of Karl May after receiving his first Winnetou book from his father. Michael started translating his first Karl May book from Mays original work in 1999 and became the first author to publish Mays original work in unabridged English. In 2001 he created Nemsi Books Publishing Company. In 2010 Winnetou Productions LLC was created to produce these epic stories into movies.

  • Victor Epp
    Translator of Winnetou I and II

    Victor Epp will act a consultant on his translation of Winnetou I and
    Winnetou II. Victor was born in the dead of winter of 1935, he spent the first seven years of his life in the country north of Winnipeg, Canada. Storytelling for Victor already began with the onset of family life. Bedtime stories were an absolute must in the Epp household. Even the early boyhood schooling in the German language returned with some practice.

  • Pearl Means
    American Indian Consultant

    Pearl Daniel Means wife of Russell Means, is a Navajo from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pearl has had the opportunity to travel the world speaking on issues effecting indigence people and being an advocate for women and children.
    Russell and Pearl first became involved with the Winnetou project in Feb 2010. Russell, Pearl, Michael and Angie forged a friendship that few people experience in a life time.

  • Sean Vasquez
    Associate Producer

    Sean Vasquez is originally from California and currently lives in
    Phoenix, AZ where he pursues his career in the film industry. Sean started designing his own flutes fourteen years ago, which are featured at the prestigious Heard Museum in Arizona. Sean has appeared in many commercials, music videos, film shorts and in the Television Series ‘Shadow Hills’, ‘Modos’ and ‘Moses Was an Indian’. Sean will also play the role of Metan-Akva in the film.

  • Sage Paisner
    Still Photographer

    Sage was born in Oregon on October 7, 1982, grew up in Diné/Navajo Nation and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sage has extensive training and experience in photography, sculpture, metalwork, glass design, video, installation art, new media and printmaking. Paisner studied with Patrick Nagatani and Joyce Neimanas at UNM and was mentored by Harry Gamboa Jr, Andrew Freeman, Allan Sekula, Joanne Callis, Charles Gaines and others at CalArts.

  • Rene Haynes
    Casting Director

    Rene is a two time Emmy Nominee; First, for the TNT/DreamWorks miniseries “Into the West” and in the following year, for the HBO feature
    “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee”, for which she also won a CSA Artios
    Award for “Outstanding Casting”.
    In addition to being recognized in the entertainment industry as one of the
    foremost experts in Native American and First Nations casting.

    Cinematographer

    Steve Howell is a three time Emmy Award winning Director of
    Photography. His first motion picture was the Terminator. Since then Steve has worked on Crash, Collateral, Cursed, XXX, The Sweetest Thing, True Lies and many more motion pictures. Steve has also been working on music videos with Brittany Spears, Bryan Adams and the late Michael Jackson.

  • Cathy Smith
    Costume Designer

    Cathy is a, costume designer, artist historian, and scholar of the
    American West, is best known for her authentic costumes in films such
    as Dances with Wolves, Comanche Moon, Geronimo and Son of the
    Morning Star – for which she won the Emmy for Excellence in
    Costume Design. Cathy lectures on the art & culture of the Western Plains. She has exhibited at the National Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth and the Smithsonian, among others.

  • Cherelle George
    Line Producer

    For the past twelve years, Ms. George has managed productions
    ranging from documentaries, to music videos, to feature films. All of her projects have benefited
    from her extensive knowledge of regulations as well as personal relationships with industry 14
    guilds and unions. Ms. George herself is a member of the prestigious Directors Guild of
    America. Ms George has over a decade of managing equity for feature films.

  • Tatanka Means
    Lead Actor

    Tatanka Means is an actor, motivational guest speaker, and
    stand-up comedian from Chinle Arizona. Means represents the Oglala Lakota, Omaha and Navajo Nations. Most recently Means has been cast to take in a leading role in the feature film, Tiger Eyes, by writer and author Judy Blume. Tatanka has signed a letter of intent to play the role of Winnetou throughout the entire 15 movie franchise.

  • Daniella D'Amore
    Project Management Consultant

    Daniella comes to us from Melbourne, Australia where she has spent many
    years as a project manager, event planner and office manager. Daniella speaks
    fluent Italian and has worked in the UK and Italy, as well as been a world
    traveler. Her vast experience makes her a perfect fit for our team.

    Executive Assistant

    Melissa will act as Executive Assistant for the project and coordinate
    production meetings with our associates. Melissa’s extensive experience, as an
    administrative assistant along with her dedication and knowledge of the
    business world are a valuable asset to our team.
