Windlift has been a leader in Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) since 2006. AWE uses advanced computer controls to generate electricity from tethered flying wings. This will reduce electricity costs by 50%. With $2.3M in funding from the US Army and Marine Corps, Windlift has pioneered mobile applications for AWE in distributed power generation. Headquartered in North Carolina the company is raising funds to transition into off-shore power generation.
