Her pioneering studies with the use of anti-inflammatory stem cells for the treatment of pain in diabetics were recently published and featured in various press releases. She has been awarded the Foundation for Anesthesiology Education and Research Fellowship Grant.

She has greatly contributed to the understanding of many aspects of human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) over the last decade.
