WHILL designs and manufactures next generation electric mobility for seniors and users with physical disability. Existing wheelchairs or senior cars are stigmatized by many users due to its unfashionable outlook and medical-oriented functionality.     Born in 1982 Shizuoka, Japan. After working at the NISSAN design center, Sugie had started Smile Park design project. Before the foundation at the project, Sugie stayed in different parts of the world creating new products by gaining inspiration from that lands. Founded WHILL project in 2011, Sugie was a member of the Green innovation projects Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Study Committee in 2012.

    Cheif Development Officer

    Born in 1983 Aichi, Japan. After graduation from Graduate school of Nagoya Univ., joined Sony corp. as product engineer for automotive camera in 2008. Founded Sunny Side Garage, an engineering unit, and published several products in 2009. Founded WHILL project in 2011. Resign Sony corp. and joined WHILL Inc. as Chief Development officer in 2012.

    Chief Technology Officer

    Born in 1983 Osaka, Japan. After graduation from Graduate school of Nagoya Univ., joined Olympus corp. as Medical device engineer in 2008. Founded Sunny Side Garage, an engineering unit, and published several products in 2009. Founded WHILL project in 2011. Resign Olympus corp. and joined WHILL Inc. as Chief Technology Officer in 2012.

    Sr. Mechanical Engineer

    Born in 1982 Shizuoka, Japan. Graduated MS in Engineering Mechanics in Univ. of Texas at Austin in 2008. Same year, joined SONY corp. as TV product Engineer. Founded Sunny Side Garage, an engineering unit, and published several products in 2009. Founded WHILL project in 2011.
