Our mission is to empower family caregivers with the tools to predict, plan & prevent (or delay) long-stay nursing home placement for their aging relatives. Through its web-based & mobile platforms, wHealth will support & guide caregivers to help their senior relatives age in place & with vitality while planning ahead for long-term care costs. The service is free to caregivers; we will make money through customer referral and/or licensing fees.

    Yaya Mbaoua was VP of Product for Audax Health, a startup being acquired by UnitedHealth Group and spent 10 years defining & building web & mobile products for AOL, JumpTap & IAC. He graduated with MS & BS engineering degrees from University of Karserslautern in Germany and from the MIT Sloan Executive Program in Technology Innovation.

    Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

    Charlene Brown is a Board certified preventive medicine physician who has cared for seniors across diverse settings, including clinics & nursing homes. She graduated with MD & MPH degrees from Harvard and a BSE degree from Princeton. Her career has given her practical experience in both public health leadership and executive level management.
