West Atlanta Resurgence is a social business venture; a for-profit business venture with a non-profit organization structured within the organization. The for-profit side plans to build, rehab, and sell zero-net energy homes, while simultaneously building an alternative energy grid, water collection systems, and improving the general infrastructure of the city. The non-profit side’s mission is to help improve area schools, improve diversity, foster understanding, educate the populace on various issues in a non-bias manner, reduce amount and effect of gentrification in the area while still encouraging outside investment, and help lead Atlanta toward a more sustainable redevelopment and revitalization of its neighborhoods.
