He currently serves as a board officer for USA-OWFI, a human rights non-profit concerned with women's rights in the Middle East.

He received his B.S. in accounting from MS State Univ.

He joined Texas Surgical Group in Austin, TX, in 2003, and is a practicing partner in the only Level 1 adult trauma center in the region.
