Miguel Carvalho is a BSc in Computer Sciences at IST, an MSc in Engineering Policy and Management of Technology from IST and a MBA in AESE/IESE Business School. He has 9+ years of experience in the management of multidisciplinary teams and the development of new renewable energy projects in Spain, UK, Poland and Cyprus. From June 2009 he is the Executive Director of the MIT Portugal Program.

Carlos Silva is a BSc (1999), MSc (2001) and PhD (2004) in Mechanical Engineering from IST in Systems Engineering. He is an Associated Professor at IST and the scientific coordinator of several industry research projects. He coordinates the educational programs in Sustainable Energy Systems for the MIT Portugal Program at IST and he is currently the Energy Efficiency coordinator of the ENERGYIN.

André Pina completed his Integrated Master in Technological Physics Engineering at IST in 2007, and was awarded the UTL/SANTANDER TOTTA award for best students. He finished his PhD in the Sustainable Energy Systems PhD Program of the MIT Portugal Program at IST in February 2012. André has participated in several national and international research projects.

Henrique Pombeiro is MSc. In Environmental Engineering at IST (2012) and is currently a PhD student at the MIT Portugal Program, in the Sustainable Energy Systems field. He is co-founder of the Environmental Engineering Students Nucleus (NEEA) and of the MIT Portugal Energy Club. Henrique is enrolled at the PAGEmpreendedores program (advanced program for entrepreneurs and innovation).
