Company Summary

Waste Enterprisers brings complete sanitation to cities with no recurring costs to governments or citizens. Specifically, we receive human waste, convert the solid fraction to granular fuel that’s suited for kilns and boilers, and thus deliver sanitation as the byproduct of our manufacturing process. With an energy value 20% higher than other biomass, our product is very attractive to cement plants and other industries that burn solid fuel.

    Founder & CEO

Twelve years ago I found my passion for poop - and determination to keep it out of the environment - and haven't looked back. The journey to founding WE involved a MS and PhD from UC, Berkeley; consultancies for - and grants from - the Gates Foundation and IFC; and six years living and working on sanitation in China and Ghana, with additional stints across Asia and SSA. When not immersed in fecal matters, I love hiking, cooking, and crosswords.
