Company Summary
Vulcan is committed to developing a partial hand prosthesis product that utilizes our proprietary lightweight and inexpensive actuator tendon. The actuator utilizes shape memory alloy technology that allows better device weight distribution around the forearm/palm of the user. A decentralized device weight profile decreases chaffing and user discomfort which is the main cause for device abandonment and re amputation in amputees.
