VoxCell BioInnovation is creating fully vascularized, human-like cancer tissue models. When applied to preclinical drug testing, these tissue models offer significant benefits due to their 3D vascularized structure, mimicking an artificial biopsy sample. VoxCell aims to accelerate the development of life-saving anti-cancer drugs by providing tissue models that can identify inviable candidates earlier in the drug-development pipeline.

    Karolina has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. She has deep expertise in tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, and oncology. Karolina has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Victoria.

    Tim has a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering. He has 11 years of experience directly supporting clients and MedTech companies in the development of 60601 compliant medical devices in a 13485 certified consulting environment. Tim is on track to complete his MBA in 2022.

    Kevin has an extensive background in biochemistry and photochemistry, with expertise in synthetic chemistry. Kevin received his B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Chemistry. After his Ph.D., Dr. Vos completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, in conjunction with the World Health Organization studying SARS-CoV-2.
