Company Summary

ViTAM is a project of BCDS (Broadband Communications and Distributed Systems), a research group at Universitat de Girona with a large expertise in national and international research and technology transfer projects. BCDS is specialised in the fields of ehealth, adaptive hypermedia systems, network reliability, routing and dynamic resource management. ViTAM is currently in the process of becoming a spin-off company of Universitat de Girona.

    Head of group

    Professor at University of Girona, Spain. PhD in Industrial Engineering from UdG. Former engineer at "Telefonica de España". His research interests are in the fields of communication networks and Adaptive Hypermedia Systems. Head of Broadband Communications and Distributed Systems (BCDS) research group. He has coordinated several projects and participated to the technical program committees of several conferences (e.g. IEEE Globecom, ICC, Infocom

  • Víctor Torres Padrosa
    Head of project

    Telecommunication engineer (UPC), PhD (UPF). He is a postdoc Juan de la Cierva researcher and lecturer at the Polytechnic School and Medicine Faculty at Universitat de Girona. Technical coordinator and researcher in European and national projects (AXMEDIS, VISNET-II, MIREIA, etc) and contracts with the industry in context and user modelling, recommendation, rights management, multimedia content distribution, security and distributed applications

  • Juan Segovia
    Senior developer

    He received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National University of Asunci´on in 1994, and a PhD in Information Technology from the University of Girona in 2011. He is currently with the Institute of Informatics and Applications at the University of Girona, and is a member of the Broadband Communications and Distributed Systems group. He is specialised in systems management and advanced programming.
