Consumers can get the quality food & grocery products & farmers can deliver their produce directly at any of Villamart outlets. Various technologies like AI- procurement module, SCM & cold stores are used for optimization & easy expansion.

  • After his PhD from IIT Kharagpur, he was working as a scientist in USA. Then, inspired by the Walmart model, thought to resolve rural issues by building a supply chain system that can address the issues like wastage of farm produce, proper price to the farmers & quality products to the consumers. Knowledge on rural livelihood & deep understanding on the tech aspect made him confident of understanding the technological need to build this model.

    Graduated from IITBombay in 2005,he has more than 10 yrs of academic &industrial research experience in Taiwan, Japan &India. Having stayed in Taiwan, a technology hub for entrepreneurs,he got motivated to convert research into societal benefit.Keeping in mind to implement his knowledge for society, he came back to India & found Villamart with the same concept, joined hand with. He has experience in the field of solar cell,composite,battery etc.

    After graduating from JNCASR, Bangalore, he has 10 years of research and teaching experience in US, Sweden, France and India. As born and brought up in rural Odisha, he has strong motivation to utilize his research skill for the betterment of rural people. He understands the rural people and is good at managing them.

  • Head, Business Development

    As an agriculture post-graduate, she has not only the understanding of the Indian agriculture, but also has the experience of developing small scale business especially connecting with women farmers and SHGs in organizations like International Rice Research Institute. She has an understanding of the nutritional richness of farm products & quality assessment. She is good in capacity building especially for the rural people and motivating them.
