Ken Bethea, Chief Operating Officer is a remarkably astute executive with extensive C-suite experience in the energy and semiconductor industries. Possessing over 25 years of experience in these fields, Mr. Bethea holds MBA and MS degrees from Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business (USA) and is active on numerous boards.

Creative, results-driven professional in polymer-organic chemistry. Integrating 40 years of diverse, multidisciplinary experience while conducting and directing project development in environmental chemical research in industrial and public health laboratories. Retired from "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" (CDC). Projects at UPSHOTS include REEs separations, and solar thermal storage process development.

Over 15 years of experience in research, product development & engineering. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (2001) and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (2008). Expertise in polymer synthesis, fiber technology, and SERS sensing technology. Served well in academia, receiving the ASM-LINK Undergraduate Faculty Research Initiative Fellowship (2016). Her Upshots responsibilities include planning and executing activities for scale-up.

Mr. Fisher is a degreed Chemical Engineer, with over 48 years of experience in chemical, pulp & paper, power, manufacturing and industrial projects. Has executed multiple large-scale ($200MM +) successful projects, totaling in excess of $1B. Previous titles as Project Director & Engineering Manager. Upshots responsibilities include the overall execution to design, engineer, procure and build Upshots technology platforms.

Over 35 years as a process engineer and director of operations for pulp & paper industry, with direct reports from procurement, construction estimating, and construction managers.

Degreed Mechanical Engineer, with 38 years of experience in heat and power production, maintenance, design, and construction projects. Has served as a Staff and Project Engineer for two (2) municipal utilities and has been a Director of Energy & Utilities and an Adjunct Professor for a midwestern university. UPSHOTS responsibilities includes development of the thermal storage/power plant design.
