She is Chair & Associate Professor, Department of Orthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained Dental Medicine Doctor’s Degree, a Masters Degree, certificate in Orthodontics, and Ph.D. in Developmental Biology.
She is an expert in bone growth and tooth movement. Her research has been supported by different foundations and NIH. She holds several patents in the field of bone biology.

Sandra Teixeira developed a successful career in consulting business for the past 23 years. Developed her expertise in projects and investment strategies, business development, collaborations as well as interactions with almost all the industrial sectors in Portuguese industry.
She pioneered work in the IT Sector, as part of an international team obtained training in PT, USA and UK before leading a Digital Certification Supplier.
