Our investments are not limited to selected industries, current investments focus on supply chain solutions, agribusiness, microenterprise financing tools, and microfranchising opportunities. UI seeks strong management teams with track records of commercial success, social awareness, and experience working with the populations they aim to serve.

    Geoff Woolley

    Geoff has been involved in impact investing since he joined Unitus Labs as a board member in 2001 where he helped launch Unitus Equity Fund, the first commercially focused microfinance equity fund, and Unitus Capital, the first socially focused investment bank. Geoff has been active in private equity 25+ years, founding two successful venture funds. He pioneered the concept of venture debt and has invested in over 400 companies in his career.

    Beau was formerly a Principal at Capital Impact; working on the Sorenson Housing Opportunity Fund, a private equity fund which focused on developing affordable housing in India. Beau has also worked as a Principal at Montara Point Investments, where he worked directly with Geoff Woolley on his global investment responsibilities related to impact investing. Beau holds a JD/MBA and B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University.

    Lee has spent the last 20 years as President and CEO of Venture Out, a private investment firm focused on the financial services, real estate, and development sectors. Lee also worked as an Associate at law firm Csaplar & Bok, specializing in real estate and corporate finance. Lee serves on the board of the RockRose Institute, a non-profit committed to non-violent conflict resolution. Lee holds a JD/MBA from Santa Clara University.
