Previously architect and early employee at Athenahealth (IPO ‘07) where he developed a leading electronic medical records system. In 2008, he was New Media Director for Obama for America in CA. He has an B.A. in Physics from Harvard.

Dan has an English degree from Harvard; he’s written, edited, designed, and produced books while working in the publishing industry, and spent the last five years working with Bob Stein at the Institute for the Future of the Book, a think tank concerned with how reading and writing are changing as they increasingly move from the printed page to the networked screen. While there, he worked on the MediaCommons and Sophie projects.
