Uchi is founded upon the principal that simple is best. We seek to provide all natural herbal tea products that are simple in ingredients yet distinct in taste...a taste not masked by preservatives or artificial ingredients. Our company goal is not only to promote our products, but to promote a healthy active lifestyle that easily incorporates our beverages. We believe that consumer engagement, trust, and relatability is key to a successful product. We will make a positive change in how people view healthy living...one bottle at a time.
Company Description
Ūchi is an herbal tea company dedicated to creating quality high-end herbal teas that stand out from their competition in the rtd tea market. Our goal is to differentiate our products from competitors in taste, presentation, packaging, marketing, and company goals.
Our herbal teas are full bodied, offering a taste unlike traditional rtd herbal blends. We have four initial flavors; Sweet, Unsweet (which has an inherent naturally sweet taste), Peach, and Vanilla. All organic. We plan to extend our product line via additional herbal beverages. One of these beverages is a completely new concept that is currently not on the market. We plan to extend our rooibos teas into 8 oz bottles packaged for children and promote a healthy herbal based alternative to traditional juices and sodas. Uchi's goal is to become the first functional herbal tea line with a consumer integrated mission behind our products.
Marketing Strategies
Our logo includes a Swahili symbol representing freedom. Ūchi is a Swahili word meaning naked or bare. Each element of the logo represents a freedom from all things that hinder our ability to be our best selves. The Swahili symbol incorporates an image that will change over product profiles. Each image will represent being "free" and enjoying life. Images will convey a sense of being active, paired with a sense of fun and freedom, giving consumers a sense of positivity associated with our products. Images similar to product logo images will be used in marketing. We will encourage consumers to submit their own photos of how they "live uchi" to be used in marketing and products. Our goal is for Ūchi to become known as more than a unique beverage…it’s a way of life.
We would also like to donate a portion of profits to help those who struggle with PTSD and depression acquire help that is unaffordable to most. This is a topic close to our hearts as we stand beside loved ones who battle this debilitating disease. After all, our company name and logo are both representations of 'freedom'. Our company slogan represents this well: be ū. be free. ūchi life.
Initial marketing will be to local high-end stores, high-end retail chains such as Whole Foods and Fresh Market. Product expansion will continue as sales grow and we have sufficient sales to market on a regional level to chains such as Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Publix, Target, etc.
