Company Summary

U-NET surfaced from the need to offer the under served Mexican college population a more accessible alternative to orderly save and invest their money through diverse financial instruments. U-NET will act as an asset manager that will invest its funds in socially responsible Mexican growing companies, while engaging with students to educate them on financial matters in aim of building incentives to create wealth via small periodic savings.

    Daniel created U-NET in 2013 and is responsible for developing the venture's business plan and running its Pilot Program.
    Daniel is an MBA Candidate at NYU Stern School of Business. Prior to Stern, Daniel worked for 5 years as a Portfolio Manager at GBM (Mexico's largest brokerage firm), where he was responsible for heading the Equity Mutual Fund's Research Team, training the sales force and overseeing administrative tasks for 19 mutual funds.

    Daniel del Rio Sr is a corporate attorney at Basham, Ringe & Correa S.C. (Mexico’s largest law firm) where he has been a partner for 24 years. Daniel and his team have provided legal advice to U-NET and are responsible to establish the legal entity of the firm.

    Liaison Pilot Program

    Jose is a consultant and currently responsible for overseeing entrepreneurial programs for public universities in the state of Chiapas.
    Within U-Net, Jose is responsible for conducting market research locally to determine potential sites for the first Pilot Program.
