U.S. Geological Services was founded by Michael Mason in July 2015, located in Cypress, Texas. We currently service Oil companies throughout the U.S. and plan to take it overseas here soon. By 2020 we will be the largest mudlogging/geological company in the world.
What our company does is tell the oil & gas client when we hit oil/gas or anything that may deter us from drilling further. We collect samples of the drill cuttings coming out of the hole and analyze them through a series of chemical and manual breakdown. We then put the samples under high powered microscopes and determine what formation we are in and how far if any are we to "pay zone". We then make a graph, what we call a "log" out of what we found and by downloading data from our MSI MLogger. Once all the data is compiled and transfered onto our log, we send it to the oil & gas company along with a picture of each sample we took for that section of the hole.

What we are trying to do is lower the cost of the services, while employing top notch geologist. We want our clients to be able to relax and leave it to us. 95% of the other service companies hire anyone who is willing to learn, therefore resulting in bad data and sample acquisition. By doing this the other companies can pay the employee less and make more profit. We believe at U.S. Geo that by giving 100% accurate information through our geology team to the client that we will take over the market in our space. The oil companies want accurate data, and will always want to pay less for the service.
