Company Summary
At Trusst, we enhance women’s lives. Specifically, the 65% of women who are fuller busted, curvy, and suffer from pain points on a daily basis from their unsupportive bras. We recognize a huge need for revolt against the 100 year-old underwire system, used in almost every single bra on the market today. Underwires simply don’t provide adequate support, so we engineered the BAST System - our patented technology that provides lift and support from underneath the bust. As women with backgrounds in industrial design, chemistry, and engineering, we had the experience required to design, refine, and bring a product to market. We tested and interviewed with hundreds of women over years of R&D, and launched our first collection in the Fall of 2016. Since then, we have sold thousands of units both online and in-person to women all over the world. We’re on an upward trajectory and are excited to be expanding our collection with new colors and sizes based on customer feedback. We are growing a brand that women can relate to and that they can count on - through high quality design and innovative solutions.

Founder and Chief Creative OfficerSophia graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA in Industrial Design and has spent almost a decade designing and developing consumer products. She began her career at an architectural engineering company, creating schematic designs for new and existing high-tech buildings. After, in various roles, she managed the design, manufacturing and logistics of products for brands such as Thermos, Under Armour and Samsonite.

Director of InnovationSusan Banerjee, Ph.D., is keen on commercializing Trusst's patented technology, and identifying and developing new product strategies. Dr. Banerjee has a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas in chemistry and performed biophysical research during her postdoctoral fellowship in the physics department. Dr. Banerjee is an accomplished professional with experience in advanced material/nanotechnology research, grant management, and patient healthcare.

CEOBill has been an advisor, investor, and general thought partner to Sophia since the founding of Trusst. He recently joined the company as the CEO after a number of years at McKinsey & Co, American Eagle, and Under Armour - where he built growth strategies and executed operational activities across a range of retail and consumer functions.

Creative LeaderJoe has significant experience in both delivering creative and leading creative teams at ModCloth, Unicorn Mountain, and The Pittsburgh Technology Council. His illustrations and style can be seen across our key campaigns, e.g., Redefining Beauty, and in our Bra PhD content program.
