Company Summary

Tripping Furrows Farm provides fresh, local vegetables and heritage grains to the community of Whidbey Island and the surrounding areas. As the only Whidbey farm to use draft horses, our methods are gentle on the environment, minimize fossil fuel use, and use core farming skills of our cultural roots. Our customers are sustainably-minded folks, ecologically friendly folks that are drawn to the revitalized culture of draft powered farming.

    Dani is part of the new generation of young farmers and in 2013 was the Assistant Farm Manager at the Greenbank Farm Organic Farm School on Whidbey Island. She succesfully managed her first farm project, "Moonbow Farm," and aspires to continue her farming career using draft animal power for years to come.

    Owner

    Greg has 15 years of health care management experience and has operated a small local custom lumber business for 4 years. He learned the culture and handling of draft animals through a mentor-ship process over the last 8 years. He currently runs a horse powered custom farming and restorative forestry logging business.
