Low-Cost but Highly Effective Cochlear Implant System based on LCP can reduce device cost by 50% compared to conventional devices. Because it utilizes polymeric material and semiconductor fabrication process, it is compatible with magnetic resonance imaging and is scalable to high density neural interfaces. Presently, trial products including cochlear electrode array and neuromodulator are being tested in animal studies.
