Stephanie suffered from facial and body acne for most of her pre-teen through adult life. It affected her self esteem and she just about had given up with the idea of getting rid of her troubled skin issues after using everything in the main stream retail and prescription market. Choosing not to go on Accutane due to health risks, she started formulating products in her kitchen that have become mainstays in many peoples skin-care routines.

Jennifer gave birth to a wonderful baby boy named Luke in April of 2005. He was later diagnosed with autism, which explained his many sensory issues. He couldn't stand certain scents, and commonly broke out in rashes from his bath time. She started using Stephanie's natural soaps and realized he not only did not break out, but he was not sensitive to the scents since they were from essential oils. She then joined her sister in the business.
