The hallmark of TPD National LLC is that we engage community-based, values-aligned partners in each of the cities in which we operate dispensaries to ensure local buy-in of our dispensary model. Community building and engagement is a cornerstone of our model.     Christine is a proven entrepreneur who owns and co-owns several successful Bay Area businesses, including Beauty Botanica, a salon, Benefit Health Collective, a private dispensary and Town Biz, a retail store in Oakland, Queen of Hearts art gallery and dispensary in San Francisco, and two event production companies. She is a well-known advocate for the chronically ill, people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community.

  • Charleen Caabay
    Co-Founder

    Charleen, aka “Chef Charleen,” is the first Filipino-American female chef to win the Food Network's Chopped cooking show. Complementing Charleen’s culinary talents is her passion for cannabis. She recently tapped her culinary knowledge and creative spirit to create the Damo Edibles line for BHC. Damo, which means “grass” in Tagalog, is a tribute to her Filipino culture and love for cannabis.

    Chaney Turner, an Oakland native, is an entrepreneur, capacity and community builder. As the founder & CEO of Social Life Productions, Chaney has created and curated Oakland based events for over 12 years. In 2016, their efforts garnered them the honor of receiving the East Bay Express “Best Event Producer” award. In 2016, they founded Town Biz Oakland; a retail store that specializes in statement apparel.

  • Michael Schlieker
    Co-Founder | Operations

    Michael worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Clinical Operations helping run clinical trials to determine if an investigational product (drug) gets approved by various regulatory agencies before it can be used to treat a specific condition. After years of working in the pharmaceutical industry and seeing first-hand the harm that synthetic drugs can inflict, he strongly supports actively seeking natural alternatives to Western medicine.
