    Advisory Board, Chief Legal Counsel

    Mr. Van Keuren is the Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations for a city school district in upstate NY. He has a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and a J.D. with an additional certificate in Law, Technology, and Management from Syracuse University. His legal repertoire includes: municipal government, corporate law, school labor law, and civil service law. Mr. Van Keuren also specializes in collective bargaining and recruitment.

  • Melissa Ann Matthews
    Founder and President

    Miss Matthews is a dynamic leader who has dedicated her entire career to improving the quality of education in America. With a keen understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and psychology, she has spent the past 20 years working with other professionals, including athletes from the Buffalo Bills Football Organization and Hollywood actors, to create programs that promote 21st century skills for educators and students.

  • Bryan Tiller Emerson
    Advisory Board, Vice-Chairman

    Mr. Emerson is currently the Managing Director of Starlight Investments. He has an M.B.A. from Rice University, and he holds securities licenses 7, 63, 24, 27, and 87. Mr. Emerson is also a member of the Council of Overseers at the Jones School of Management, past-president of the Jones School Alumni Association, a member of the FINRA Technology Committee, a FINRA arbitrator, and he is the former board president of Houston Achievement Place.

  • Timothy Moon
    Advisory Board Member

    Mr. Moon is serving as the CIO for the Ithaca City School District where he provides innovative leadership in the Instructional Technology and Data Departments. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Technology Education, and a C.A.S. in Educational Administration. Mr. Moon is also a member of the School Administrators Association of New York State, the Data Analysis Technical Assistance Group, and the Central New York Data Analysis Committee.

  • Christopher Kusznir
    Advisory Board Member

    Mr. Kusznir, the son of two first-generation immigrants from the Dominican Republic and Poland, has earned his spot as a prominent business professional and entrepreneur in the Tompkins County area. With a keen eye for strategy and marketing, he has acquired real estate holdings, purchased and revived three local businesses, and developed a reputation of exceptional salesmanship. Mr. Kusznir is also a member of many community organizations.

  • Barbara K Heinzman
    Chief Education Consultant

    Mrs. Heinzman is a nationally recognized educator with a 40 year track record of excellence. Her pedagogical expertise has been highlighted in several books written by renowned educational experts, and she has co-authored an article on the professional development of teachers that was published by The National Foundation for the Improvement of Education. Mrs. Heinzman has also presented for The National Staff Development Council.
