David Mathews is the former Digital Imaging Manager at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. He presently oversees several digital initiatives including advanced imaging techniques for creation of sustainable digital objects, the organization of educational conferencing on the preservation of digital assets for cultural institutions, government agencies and national research libraries as well as consulting to small and medium cultural institutions.

Robert brings over 30 years of diverse professional experience to The Image Collective team, including 15 years in business, marketing, and marketing research, and the last 17 as an architect for award winning architectural firms in Washington D.C. and more recently as the principal for his own award winning firm in Ashland, Oregon.

Widely regarded as the world’s first digital printmaking studio focused solely on photography, Nash Editions has established an international reputation for fine art photographic digital output (read a history of Nash Editions(PDF). r. Holbert has lectured extensively and conducted workshops on digital output, digital imaging/scanning and fine art printmaking on the Epson large format printers.

Andrew Rodney, aka the Digital Dog, has successfully provided these services and training to photographers, designers, print shops, government agencies, as well as fortune 1000 companies since 1993. Andrew was the technical editor for Photo Electronic Imaging magazine. He lectures around the country on many aspects of digital imaging and color management.Andrew has been a Beta for Adobe Photoshop since v. 2.5. and is currently an Alpha tester.

Steve Gorman studied photo journalism at Kansas University. His company, Gorman Framing, is a wholesale custom framing operation and art gallery. He has been operating out of the Orange county area for over 30 years. Steve also owns a publishing company specializing in limited edition reproductions of artists’ works. Gorman is an avid commercial photographer, artist and a photo retoucher.

I am a native of Berkeley, California, hold a degree in the Conservation of Natural Resources from UC Berkeley. For thirty years I have been pursuing the ultimate color photographic print making process, building darkrooms, a unique, and a large-format additive lamphouse.

With over twenty-five years of photography industry experience — twenty of which focused on electronic media — Stanley Smith brings entrepreneurial outlook, technical expertise and deep appreciation for the concerns of cultural heritage institutions to The Image Collective.The founder and president of Seattle-based custom photo lab Argentum, named “The Lab of the Future” in 1994 by Kodak for its leadership in digital imaging.

Dr. Roy S. Berns is the Richard S. Hunter Professor in Color Science, Appearance, and Technology at the Munsell Color Science Laboratory and Graduate Coordinator of the Color Science master’s degree program within the Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology.He has authored over 150 publications and lectured widely throughout the world.
