Company Summary
1st stage: Calyx will bundle privacy services including virtual private network (VPN) encrypted file storage and encrypted email storage with a fast last mile solution using a resale agreement with a nation-wide WiMax network. 2nd stage will add encrypted VoIP phone service in a Vonage / Virtualpbx model. The 3rd stage will bring encrypted mobile phone service using the WiMax network and an MVNO agreement.

Nicholas Merrill founded Calyx Internet Access Corporation in 1995. Calyx was one of the first commercial Internet service providers operating in New York City. Within a few years, Calyx opened a sister company in Amsterdam. Calyx pursued relationships with and worked with many non-profit organizations on a pro bono basis and also had a number of blue chip for-profit businesses in its client roster including Ikea, Snapple, Mitsubishi and Amtrak.
