Company Summary

We're a humorous, hyperlocal collegiate content & marketing platform allowing local/national brands a 1-stop shop to reach the collegiate demo through an in-house, multi-channel approach. We monetize through 2 integrated rev streams: Ad packages tied to our content platform (print, online, mobile, local social media) and grassroots marketing campaigns. We have a low cost structure as we build teams of talented students on each of our 30 campuses.

    Atish Doshi is the founder of The Black Sheep, and works for everyone else in the company. He started his first endeavor as a senior at The University of Illinois and has loved being an entrepreneur ever since. He traces back the roots of his work ethic to the day he finished in the Top 10 in sales at Best Buy at the age of 16. In his free time he loves wishing he had more free time.

    Heather Jo Erickson
    National Sales Director

    Heather Jo Erickson is the National Sales Director for The Black Sheep, and oversees the recruiting, training, and managing of our student sales reps across multiple campuses. Heather Jo graduated from UW-Madison, loves sales more than life itself, and is the most energetic person in the world. She has also met Snoop Dogg, which makes the rest of our office jealous.

    Jimmy DeBlasio
    Director of Operations

    Jimmy DeBlasio oversees the operations at The Black Sheep, which includes printing, shipping, distribution, data analysis, tech builds, and picking great places for lunch that are lactose-free-friendly. He graduated from UIC via Indiana University and is the biggest Hawks fan in the city.

    Brendan Bonham
    Creative & Campus Director

    Brendan Bonham oversees all content of The Black Sheep, through all platforms. He also manages our print campuses to ensure proper content, editing, marketing, and training. Brendan graduated from the University of Illinois after running The Black Sheep for two years. He is easily the fastest eater in the company, maybe even the world.

    Digital Content and Marketing Director

    Quinn Myers focuses exclusively on the digital side of The Black Sheep. This includes our digital-only campuses as well as digital writers in our print markets. He ensures timely content, proper editing, and amazing idea generation. Quinn also oversees our local social media channels in all markets and content marketing strategies. Quinn graduated from the University of Illinois and takes extreme pride in being the only "ginger" on the team.
