Wijit Creator and CEOInventor of the Wijit, Brian M. Watwood, sustained a spinal cord injury in 1987 rendering him a quadriplegic. Mr. Watwood’s injuries made it impossible for him to motivate the manual wheelchairs he was confined to. During his convalescence at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Brian began conceptualizing a lever actuated driving and braking system for manual wheelchairs.
