The Freebird Club is a travel-based social network for older adults. Operating as a peer-to-peer, social travel & home-stay club, it offers a whole new way of travelling for older adults, a potential new source of income, and a fun & accessible way to meet new people & enjoy companionship in later life. It is a members only club, where senior member hosts can make spare rooms available to fellow member guests to come and stay for a nightly rate.

  • Founder & CEO

    Seasoned professional with 20+ years’ experience across diverse sectors (finance, arts, research & academia), he holds B.Comm and MBS degrees from UCD, and PMP certification. Peter was Senior Manager for Research Operations & Finance at UCD, a role he left to set up Freebird Club.

    2015 European Social Innovation Competition winner, Peter is a passionate social entrepreneur who aims to use the sharing economy to improve the lives of older adults.

  • Founding CTO

    Nga-Hong has a BSc. in Industrial Design from Eindhoven Uni & MSc. in Design for Interaction from Delft Uni. His Master’s included a Medisign specialisation in product design expertise for healthcare by co-creating with older adults. With 13+ years’ experience in web design & development, he gained additional skills in interaction design for healthcare working in ARCH at UCD, where he focused on web & tablet design solutions for older adults.
