Company Summary

The Edible Group Co., Limited is a collection of three brands that address the marketing, product distribution and restaurant management needs of the Food & Beverages Industry in China. We know there are few pleasures greater than sitting around a large table full of good food surrounded by good company. Through the conceptualization, development and management of culinary brands, our aim is simple: to make that experience even more enjoyable by building lasting restaurants and bringing in better products.

At the center of our Portland-based company is Edible Trading. Through EDIBLE TRADING, we are committed to importing and distributing the very best of the Maine Craft Beer Industry into the Shanghai marketplace. We currently have commitments from seven area breweries looking to partner with us to bring their beer to China.

After handling all of the legal and logistical ends of bringing the beer to China, we have developed two platforms through which we are able to sell those imported beers directly to consumers in China, to maximize our revenue. One is with our restaurant incubator program, RENDER, and the other is through SWEATSHOP, a fast casual, scalable modern Asian eatery.

Our restaurant incubator is China's first full-service restaurant incubator. We provide aspiring entrepreneurs, chefs and food operators the right ingredients to launch inspiring food ventures in Shanghai, China, while offering full restaurant management and consulting services to pre-existing businesses. To celebrate the opening of Render, we will be incubating ourselves, creating a showcase for Maine Craft Beer - to get potential buyers interested in the products for distribution and to sell those brews directly to consumers. Once that four-month period ends, we will begin incubating clients to test their own food businesses and provide compelling market research for them while they are incubating to best prepare them for a full restaurant launch.

It is a sample, successful pitch we made to Oxbow Brewing Company that articulates how the the different moving part of The Edible Group work, explaining our trading company, our restaurant incubator program and the first concept we will incubate - The Elk Room, which is a showcase for Maine Craft Beer.

Note 2, financials in our business plan are in RMB. Please also note, that we originally were seeking $3.5 million USD for our project, so finance incubator program participants' concepts after their successfully complete their time with Render. On further review, we will save that idea for the future.
