    Founder and President

    Jack, a commercial airline captain, purchased a worm farm in Sonoma Valley in 1992. For 20 years, he attended worldwide worm conferences, engaged researchers, and studied design to develop a system and process for converting dairy manure into organic compost and then a pathogen-free biologically superior vermicompost upon which growers depend.   • Brian O'Toole
    Chairman of the Board

    Brian was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005. He is a 30-year veteran of the investment management and financial services industry. He co-founded AssetMark Investment Services, which was sold to Genworth Financial Wealth Management in 2006. He was CEO of Genworth until 2009. He co-authored “The Art of Investing & Portfolio Management." He mentors entrepreneurs in the sustainable space. He holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley.

    Chief Executive Officer

    Richard comes from a farming family. As a management consultant, he served clients in numerous industries. Most recently, at ZS Associates, Richard helped transform the firm’s global operational delivery capabilities. His teams assessed and implemented operational standards and continuous improvement initiatives, increasing the accuracy and efficiency of client operations. He holds a B.A. from DePauw University and a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
