Carl DietrichCEO/CTO
Carl received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. from the Aero/Astro Department at MIT. In 2000, he was recognized as the youngest of sixteen exceptional Aero/Astro graduates under the age of 35. In 2006, he was the winner of the prestigious Lemelson-MIT Student Prize for invention, and in 2009 the Boston Business Journal "40 Under 40". He is a private pilot and a member of EAA, AOPA, and ASTM committee F37 that writes the rules for light sport aircraft.

Anna DietrichCOO
With BS and MS degrees from the Aero/Astro Department at MIT, Anna spent time at both GE Aviation and Boeing Phantom works prior to co-founding Terrafugia. She was named one of the Boston area's top 15 Innovators by the Boston Globe in and was one of the 10 women selected for the 6th annual Mass High Tech Women to Watch Award in 2009. Anna is on the Board of Directors of Women in Aviation International (WAI). She is also a private pilot.

Dick joined Terrafugia with over 25 years of executive-level experience in all phases of financial service and insurance company operations and risk management. Dick has his MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a M.Ed. from Suffolk University. He is pursuing a private pilot license.

Andrew HeafitzVP Engineering
Andrew is a graduate of MIT with his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering. In 2002 Andrew was the recipient of the Lemelson-MIT Student Prize. He brings eighteen years’ experience in composite automotive construction and testing to the Terrafugia team. Andrew has designed, built, and raced light-weight composite solar cars across the Australian outback.
