Telstar Bus Industries, Inc., a Delaware corporation, is designing and building buses that are safer, stronger and durable, incorporating new technologies as OEM features such as vehicle locator, driver behavior improvement system, wireless alerts to notify of approaching bus, automatic door and bumper sensors to prevent accidents, and active video and motion detectors for security.

Telstar aims to exceed customers’ expectations in quality, delivery and cost through advanced designs, continuous improvements, customer interaction, modern industrial engineering and manufacturing methods using advanced materials and production processes to build efficient, structurally sound, easy to maintain, and operate buses.

The four founders each have over 25 years of experience as leaders and innovators in the transportation and manufacturing industries. They bring with them a culture of creativity, flexibility, effectiveness, efficiency and teamwork to produce competitively priced modern buses that address market needs which have been ignored by existing bus manufacturers.

The founders are well acquainted with other manufacturers’ products, strengths, weaknesses and their common denominator of having antiquated manufacturing processes and lack of innovation on re-tooling products.

The founders are also well recognized by private bus contractors, public & district transportation operators and decision makers who have expressed dissatisfaction with current products and unmet features that they need.

Telstar Bus Industries has already identified new features that will be offered to address market demands. The demand for small buses is projected to grow with the increase in persons with disabilities and replacement of aging vehicles.

Many bus dealers and bus contractors nationwide that have relationships with the founders, have already expressed interest in buying, distributing and servicing the buses that Telstar Bus Industries will build. It has a ready market.

The facility will be strategically located where there is availability of low cost facility lease, skilled labor, industrial support and state incentives with easy access to major interstate highways and railways. It will implement new industrial engineering methods, computerized design & cost tracking, cohesive personnel training, flexible line set up, process documentation, strict quality control and live analytics & ERP system, third party quality control, procurement and financial reporting. Sub components will be contracted out and delivered Just-In-Time for assembly, partnering with key suppliers for effective control cost, inventory and product quality.

    With an MBA, BS CE & > 30 yrs executive & operational experience in school, paratransit, coach transportation, auto industries, finance & construction, he lead various divisions: operations, corp development, marketing, management analyses, M&A, startups & restructuring. He was a top executive of a $450 million transport conglomerate. He has professional experience as CEO, president of multiple bus companies with valuable industry relationships.

With > 25 yrs of experience, mastered project management skills in power generation & transportation industries, implemented global accounting & lead quality assessment systems. University faculty member in computer technology application, systems analysis & design. He worked as industrial engineer, production supervisor, plant manager COO. Authored 5 globally distributed books on data analytics & lean manufacturing.
