Company Summary

Teaobroma is a wholesale blender of herbal chocolate tea. The company was founded last year by friends Brock Pagnello and Dan Johanis. Dan having recently shuttered the doors to his retail shop in favour of pursuing wholesale tea opportunities, sought to build a new brand around the blended chocolate teas he invented. Brock comes from an Engineering and business development background. He is currently CTO of a SaaS company he co-founded in 2011.

    A veteran of the tea industry, Dan has over 8 years in specialty tea. He was the first tea blender and retailer in Toronto to offer tea blending workshops to the public at his King Street West tea shop and worked extensively with Tourism Toronto on hosting events in other cities. He has been a keynote speaker the past 3 years at the Toronto Tea Festival and has been featured in various media outlets including CBC Radio and The Toronto Star

    Co-Founder

    Brock comes from a Software Engineering and business development/marketing background.

    Brock has worked for various multinationals and startups over the last 10 years since completing his Engineering degree from UofT. Jobs have included writing custom software for the world's largest airlines, and acting as IT manager for Canada's largest restaurant equipment supplier.
