Company Summary

Teach A Class aims to bridge the gap between education initiatives, such as Khan Academy and CK-12, and students at low-income schools in both urban and rural India. We bring the power of online education to students who otherwise would not have access to it. The organisation is currently piloting the product in five schools in India, three orphanages in Mongolia and two orphanages in Indonesia. We have also partnered with the Hope Foundation.

    Founder and CEO

    Neil is an Engineer at Cisco Systems. He grew up in Mumbai, India and got his Masters from North Carolina State University in the United States. Neil has worked in the Computer / Networking industry for over 4 years for Cisco Systems on Mobile Internet and Video Technologies. Over the last few years, Neil has had a strong passion for Development project for underprivileged communities.

  • Miheer Rajeev Walavalkar
    Head of Business Development / Country DIrector

    Miheer grew up in Mumbai, India and got his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in US. After a brief stint with Cisco Systems, Miheer transitioned to Investment Banking at Royal Bank of Canada. After working as a Corporate Finance analyst for 2 years, Miheer worked with the Chief Risk Officer in RBC’s Global Arbitrage and Trading Group. Miheer moved to Mumbai to lead its India initiative.

  • Tymen Crevels
    Chief Financial Officer

    Originally from Holland, Tymen has lived, studied and worked in places like Beirut, Lebanon; Vancouver, Canada; and San Francisco USA. He holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has 12 years of experience as a finance professional specializing in budget control in the high tech industry.
    In his spare time Tymen hand-builds carbon fiber race bicycles and enjoys triathlons and golf.
