    Before founding TargaCell, Dr. Phillips was a Research Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Principal Investigator at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Chicago. She also held research positions with DuPont in the trafficking of adult stem cells and activation, and at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). She earned her Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the University of Florida.
