Company Summary

We sell new and used books, local art, and good conversation! We have also implemented an outreach program, Opus Jr., that provides support for local public libraries and promotes literacy for all ages. Jersey City does not currently have a place to gather for sharing ideas and meeting prominent authors among other benefits that traditional bookstores can provide. We want to be that 'meeting' place.

Team

  • Carol and Aleta Valleau
    Partners and Founders

We are a mother-daughter team seeking to promote literacy, art and culture in our local community.

  • Paul Valleau
    Opus Jr. Outreach Founder

9-year-old, Paul is the originator of our Opus Jr. Outreach program and has personally raised $3,000 to date selling used children's books to fundraise for the libraries. He has also made numerous appeals to Jersey City's City Council on behalf of the library to prevent unnecessary budget cuts. He was the recipient of last year's NJLA Library Champion Award and plans to spread his support throughout the U.S.
