Synchronicity Microfluidics began making single layer 2D Microfluidic devices, desalination tools, components for solar panels, Lab on a chip for testing of traumatic brain injury and testing for breast cancer in June of 2014. We adapted a top of the line CD/DVD mastering machine to do this.

We make these devices in a Silicon wafer and transfer them to Nickel for high volume manufacturing. Now we are evolving into multi layer 3D devices. This new process is not done currently. We are upgrading hardware, electronics, and software. Many customers are ready to place orders. The existing options are photo-mask and micro machining. Both provide customers with poor quality and take many weeks to make. Our new process will allow these products to be manufactured faster, higher quality and at a lower cost. This is what these rapidly growing markets require. As one customer recently said. "Synchronicity Microfluidics solves a major challenge in getting our products to market".
