Company Summary

Glacier Coolers is a project that has the objective of protecting glaciers by reducing the ablation rate that has been acelerating over the years because of the effects of global warming. We plan to do this by installing structures covered by geotextiles over the ablation zone of glaciers so as to act as a thermal insulator, reduce the incident radiation on the glacier surface, and also protect it from dust deposition.
