Surgery Academy is an online video publishing platform that plans to industrialize, socialize and collect a curation of surgical interventions made in collaboration with world’s top medical centers and medical schools.
We use both emerging digital video technologies (such as 4k and 3D) and disrupting UI techniques: Augmented and Virtual reality.
We want to solve some of biggest problems that have both medical students and doctors.
Did you know? Is very hard for them have access to a live surgical operation until their 5th year of study.
Currently, they solve this issue watching medical videos on YouTube and other disorganized video providers, with no interaction and a bad user experience.
But these problems are not related only to med education. Indeed, for surgeons is often hard to get access to patient’s data, because this data are too many. This issue reduces situational awareness.
On the internet there are over 40M surgery videos that are provided in not organized platforms. In addition, every day over 2.5 healthcare professionals watch 3M surgery interventions online.
Only 150k surgery videos are organized into some platforms surgery-focused, but the education experience is very low.
E-Learning is worth more than $ 50B, and it grows over 8% per year.
Besides, the Augmented Reality and the Virtual Reality market in the HealthCare Industry is more than $ 641M, and it grows over 230% per year.

The content acquisition consists of an AR/VR-based technology that helps surgeons by allowing them to have instant access to real time static and dynamic data in order to enhance both reaction time and situation awareness.
The content distribution consists of an online video publishing platform and community that offers a collection of curated surgery courses and videos made in collaboration with world’s top hospitals and medical schools through a MOOC-based learning workflow.
Our target market consists of MBBS Students, doctors, nurses and researchers that want to improve their own skills by accessing to innovative and curated contents.
Users will be able to try our service for a 28-days period where they get to test our product.
The revenue model consists in an annual subscription plan to the publishing platform, fully validated.
