  • Previous to SCT, Chal was Chief of Staff to the CTO at Intellectual Ventures. Chal’s R&D of supercritical power cycles as Senior Engineer at Lockheed Martin and an engineering role refitting submarines for Bechtel provided inspiration for SCT.

    Chief Scientist

    Steve was a distinguished member of technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories for 35 years. At Sandia, he was the Principle Investigator in the development of supercritical power systems and, with 20 published papers on supercritical power cycles, is one of the major global leaders in this field. Steve has consulted on advanced power systems for space, transportation, defense, and clean energy applications.
