Space Colony Earth is assembling a digital archive of scientific, technological, historical, and artistic information and a living archive of plant, animal, microbial, and human DNA for long-term storage. Three storage sites will be provided including an Earth based site, Lunar site, and deep-space site. These resources will be available should some future catastrophe endanger human civilization.

    Space Colony Earth was conceived during Steve’s research for a novel he planned to write. In 2006 he began studying astronomy, theoretical physics, rocket propulsion systems, and space travel. Through this research he discovered an extensive record of warnings from scientists that the human race needs a backup plan.

    Rob created his first company, Computer Center Associates of Waltham MA in 1980. In 1998 he started VisionFriendly.com Inc. an Internet company and in 2005 he started VisionFriendly Studios Inc. a video production company and VisionFriendly LLC a company based on technology commercial property management. On the technology side Rob has focused on software development, Database Marketing, Economic Modeling systems, and Internet Technologies.

    With over 20 years of extensive design, development, integration and testing experience in airborne and space borne vehicles, has led multiple science instrument designs for use in Space Shuttle and International Space Station missions. At Jet Propulsion Laboratory led ground and flight software design, development and deployment for various payloads and vehicles.
