Company Summary

We have developed proprietary strategies to assist students with the ACT Test. We have analyzed many tests and understand the specific questions asked, specific strategies needed and the timing issues required to succeed on the ACT Test. We have been in business for 12 years and our business backgrounds allow us to gain an impressive 3-6 point composite increase in our students scores. Generally, a 3.5 GPA and 28 ACT equals a scholarship.

    CEO

    Graduated in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama in 1992. Worked as a very successful stock broker in Houston, Texas for approximately 11 years. Moved back home to Athens, Alabama where Grandfather was Superintendent of Education and has an elementary school named for him. Helped a family member improve ACT score and gained his family a $40,000 scholarship. The idea of Southern College Prep began from this and continues to grow.

    COO

    Graduated Suma Cum Laude from The University of Alabama in 1991 in Marketing. Worked for 7 years in Houston, Texas for Shell Oil company in Procurement. Helped Richard start our company in 2003. Responsible for handling the daily activities of running our business (employees, phone calls, and scheduling), as well as teaching the English and Reading sections of the ACT.
