Company Summary

SoLight targets bottom of the pyramid customers in rural Uganda who rely on kerosene for light. Through our Pay-As-You-Go plans that match daily kerosene expenditures and our network of trusted motorcycle (boda boda) drivers we are able to combat the distrust of solar in the Ugandan market. We have sold 2500 lamps as of May 2017 and continue to grow.

    Co-Founder and Managing Director

    Adam holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada and is completing a masters degree in Technology Innovation and Industrial Development at Makerere University in Uganda. He previously worked in business analysis and modelling at CREEC and managed Maple Bakery in Ghana. As Managing Director of SoLight he is constantly analyzing the Ugandan solar market and current operations to provide direction for the future.
